Focus is an evidence-based ADHD medical clinic that specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of children, adolescents and adults with ADHD and related conditions.

Historically, many of our assessment tools have relied on subjective information from patients themselves, parents or teachers to help diagnose ADHD. In contrast, Focus offers computerized objective testing to assist in making an accurate diagnosis, and to help guide the treatment process. We take the time to listen to our patients, the parents of our pediatric patients, and the significant others of our adult patients. We welcome information from teachers and other professionals who have been involved in care. We work with our patients to individualize a treatment plan based on the best available science. We offer additional resources to our patients, including links to available internet and literary information and behavioral modification tips. If necessary, we initiate referrals for therapy, coaching, or IQ/achievement testing.

Our testing system is an FDA cleared test that our providers interpret to help identify if ADHD is present. Although it isn’t a diagnosis in a box, we use it in much the same way that a doctor uses an Xray to diagnose pneumonia– you have the symptoms, let’s look a little more closely. If the results look like ADHD, it’s ADHD! And if the results don’t suggest ADHD, we will keep digging to help you find the right answer.

We follow our patients closely to monitor treatment progress. Initially, regular visits are scheduled every few weeks until we find just the right dose of the right medication for the patient. After the optimal dose is found, we continue regular follow-up visits to monitor for changes or new problems that may arise, as well as reevaluate the need for continuing the medication.

Just the right amount of time and testing to get the right diagnosis, just the right amount of follow-up, just the right amount of medication and just the right amount of reassurance. We keep working with you to find a just right individual solution that allows patients to be themselves but more focused!
