My goal is to assist my clients to better understand their emotional and cognitive strengths and weaknesses, assisting them to plan for job and school activities. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 31 years of experience who specializes in the neuropsychological and psychological evaluation of older adolescents (ages 16 to 18) and adults. I specialize in helping persons with learning disabilities, ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), traumatic brain injury, stroke, dementia, and other medical problems related to brain function. Most colleges require that students have a current evaluation by a licensed psychologist to receive accommodations for these diagnoses. I also work with clients and their family members as needed, providing short-term therapy services focusing on implementing recommendations resulting from a comprehensive cognitive assessment. I have successfully helped clients to secure accommodations for learning environments such as vocational-technical school and college, or in the taking of standardized tests such as the GED, SAT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT or written licensing exams for various professions.
