During my years(23) of counseling with children and families I have developed my own orientation toward counseling. I strongly believe that the majority of mental health concerns could be resolved through a counseling network. Starting with a counselor insures that an individual or family begins at the least disruptive level of intervention. My services are both affordable and respectful of the clients need to maintain their status in the community. Although I am well aware of the Label and Medicate phenomena popular in contemporary mental health, I see this as an unfortunate result of a culture that places an emphasis on a narrow view of mental health. It is my goal to provide counseling services that are safe, effective and will benefit the client in both the short term and long term view of their life.
