The way I look at therapy, my first job is to help a client uncover/rediscover strengths and only then to try to teach anything new. I work experientially wherever possible, trying to create learning experiences in the room using humor and everyday language. I am in an integrated practice with LPCs and psychiatrists serving a broad range of adults. We have a special outreach also to the Christian community and work — when asked to do so — to integrate religious values into mental health treatment. Other interests of mine include working with children, adolescents, and families, chronic pain and other medical management problems, and use of group therapies. PROFESSIONALS: We are looking for a child psychiatrist and psychologist to add to the staff.
