I have 19 years experience in the treatment of behavioral issues related to mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. My practice also includes facilitating parents and caregivers in correct training of daily living skills. I specialize in the treatment of Autism using a variety of approved, positive methods to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase adaptive skills. Both TEAACH and Discrete Trial Training techniques are employed. I work with parents on issues related to raising handicapped children. I also work with cognitively normal children who have ADHD and Conduct Disorders (whether or not they are on medication). I can work with caregivers to change behaviors in children in home, school and community settings, teaching appropriate behaviors and providing positive interventions for inappropriate behaviors.
