Dr. John Beltramo

I work with clients across the lifespan including children (8+ yoa), adolescents, and adults. Services are comprehensive, but include an emphasis on trauma recovery and childhood sexual abuse. In my work with couples, I focus on problems with communication, physical or emotional intimacy, maladaptive conflict cycles, and parenting. My practice is a welcoming environment for non-traditional, cohabiting, and LGBT relationships. Family work includes traditional, blended, and LGBT family constellations.

With office locations in Libertyville, Park Ridge, and a home-based office in Highwood, I can offer flexibility of location and scheduling options.

My approach to therapy is holistic and non-pathologizing. I take a collaborative approach to my clients, focusing on the quality of our relationship, and making a priority of acknowledging and honoring the client’s perspective. I stress the connection of Mind – Body – Spirit in my work.
