Nothing of permanent value with regard to our personal struggles takes place until the underlying roots of one’s unhappiness are found, when insight leads to changed behavior. The treatment bond between patient
and doctor is crucial for the resolution of emotional problems and creates the foundation for attaining one’s goals. When, at the end of your tether, when reason fails to lead to change, embarking upon an investigation of deeper factors (unconscious, spiritual) provides a better understanding and points the way towards healing.

Licensed Psychologist, Dr. Bernstein, has experience in a variety of inpatient settings, psychiatric hospitals and prisons and has served as Consultant in public and private schools, Community Mental Health Centers, and nursing homes. He has served as Expert Witness in the New Jersey court system. Since 1971, he has
been in Private Practice.

A frustrated performer, Dr. Bernstein’s passion has him serving as a Volunteer with the Metropolitan Opera and the American Ballet Theatre and he pursues his avocation in off- and on- Broadway venues. Please contact us to schedule an appointment with Dr. Bernstein.
